We are delighted to announce that in 2026, a new foundation will be established in Indonesia, entrusted to the sisters of the Province of Pune.

Indonesia, an archipelago of more than 17,000 islands between Southeast Asia and Oceania, is geographically close to East Timor, where the Congregation has been present since 2013. This new mission responds to the 4th preference of the 37th General Chapter – “Going beyond our own borders” – and to the 4th axis of Congregational reconfiguration: EXPANSION, which seeks new presences in Africa and Asia.

The foundation will be located in Maumere, on the island of Flores, following an invitation from the Capuchin brothers. This village, with significant pastoral and educational needs, maintains strong links with East Timor. The new mission will form a single unit with the existing presence in that country.

We give thanks to God for this opportunity to share our charism in a new part of the world. The sisters of Pune have shared:
“We ask for your prayers and support as we embark on this new adventure, confident that God’s work through us will bear fruit for the Church in this region.”
