Jesus is stripped of his garments

I look around me and I think of my parents, my grandparents…  Things have not changed!

I see no dreams in the eyes of the young because the reality that surrounds us does not allow us to dream.

Many women sob quietly because they have been silenced and treated like objects.  We forget that they too are people who need to decide for themselves.

We think that the children are oblivious to the situation, but deep down we know it affects them.  They too are stripped of their innocence, of their childhood, of a future full of possibilities, of a solid education…

Reality opens our eyes to many things that strip us of our dreams and deepest desires.  But faith teaches us that in spite of everything, with God and walking alongside Jesus of Nazareth, nothing is impossible.
